Description:
For this Oracle Integrator we have a long term (2 year contract) for an
experienced JAVA/J2EE resource to join a development team deploying some
exciting one-off applications to support the energy industry. Although your
role will be primarily as a developer the client really wants your input
from other development projects you have successfully completed. This
collaboration will make these projects flow more smoothly and give you a
chance to hone your architecture skills. You will also be learning
Groovy/Grails as this is the JAVA frameworks tool this client is using.
Your role will include the following tasks:
· Deliver high quality readable code with high unit test coverage
and low cyclomatic complexity
· Regular refactoring to enhance the design and lower technical debt
· Performing and participating in peer code reviews
· Document high level design
· Work direct with QA testing resources to ensure product integrity
meets specifications; this may include developing customized tools or
interfaces to make testing the product more efficient.
Help move new product into production and do documentation for
users.
Troubleshoot production issues
Technical Skills Preferred.
Expert level knowledge of Java/J2EE
Experience implementing SOA solutions including SOAP and REST
based approaches
Knowledge of and hands on experience with:
Continuous Integrations
Test driven development (TDD)
