ERP Applications Specialist

Job Description:
Responsible for day-to-day functional support of application systems and business processes in support of ERP and satellite systems for the Client. The position will work in conjunction with IM Technical Specialist Applications & Infrastructure to support the operations and daily activities to ensure best practices and procedures are followed using core client business applications. It will also work together with the Global Application support team to help in defining and supporting business applications and systems to ensure they are kept within the guidelines and standards as provided by the client.
Result Areas:
 Support standard business processes and application solutions aligned with the business strategy by incorporating Best Practices.
 Develop project plans for local requirements and applications, which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget for business projects
 Maintain and support operational activities of all business systems at functional level (ERP system and associated satellite systems).
Perform as a member of application team to support business related projects to accomplish global projects and daily support activities.
Required Role: The role requires the routine communication (weekly) with other regional Application Specialist. This communication is required to provide assistance with application specific issues and support project based business initiatives.
 The role requires the routine communication (weekly) with Regional IM Manager. This communication is required for updates on regional activities and projects and to share information related to daily operational activities on local projects and initiatives.
 Requires communication daily with users/groups from all PURAC America operations. This communication is required in support efforts for the organization.
Requires communication with Project Managers and Technical Specialist for project implementation, planning and support of key business projects and initiatives.
 Time Management & Prioritization – The position requires monitoring and observations of information systems to assess problems or issues that occur. Independent judgment and determination of the severity of a problem will require the ability to create work priorities that meet business and customer needs combined with long term goals. Effective time management is required to ensure all results are achieved within prescribed time/project objectives.
 Problem solving and customer issue resolution – The position must be able to assess the needs of customers or assist in problem resolution that often requires persuasive discussion to deliver an acceptable solution.
 This position is responsible for the support and maintenance for computer business applications and systems. This position has no budget responsibility.

Required Experience & Skills:
 Associates degree or equivalent work experience in technical/computer field
 Entry level knowledge supporting ERP Systems and related applications
 Working knowledge of Business Processes and project management application and activities
 ITIL Foundation
 Service oriented, result/solution driven.
Strong customer focus
